This incredible example of early 20th century ceramics is a baby's plate produced by Swinnerton's of Hanley, England. These beautiful plates were made as keepsakes for children or christening gifts, each showing an illustration of a nursery rhyme - this one depicts the tale of Tom Tom The Piper's Son. There are a few small dings and signs of age but we simply think this adds to the wonderful charm! Style as a nursery trinket dish or wall mount as an antique feature plate - we have even seen these made into nursery clocks!
